Engaging minority voices

AMIP actively works to engage members of the marginalized and minority communities by applying differentiated strategies for participation to account for potential barriers facing specific groups.

AMIP already has a large and established network of CSO partners throughout Afghanistan and will use these networks to reach the regional, provincial and district levels in Afghanistan. AMIP will structure its outreach by using seven so-called regional nodes, that in turn connect to the 34 provincial networks that connect to the district level.

AMIP also provides platforms for grassroots stakeholders, including victims and marginalized and minority communities, to directly address the negotiating parties in-person. These individuals are identified as part of dialogue and consultation processes with civil society, religious and other sectoral cleavages and the general population.
